Just finished a four week quilting class at joann fabrics.  Met some remarkable ladies and learned some good skills to boot!

My quilt top is all finished, a red, white, and blue variation on an Irish chain, made with nine blocks and sashing.  I am really looking forward to having it all done.  If I'm a good student, I'd do it over this holiday weekend.  But I'm going to a hockey festival instead, haha.

I'll be less lazy and do pictures soon!

Delicious Food

Julie & Julie (the movie) came out in December, and I must say, it's quite an inspiration for a couple of things.  Cooking, blogging, and doing something with your life.

I liked it so much, I have been reading through the actual blog, "The Julie/Julia Project".  It gives you a better idea of what the project was actually like for Julie...lots of work.  She updated pretty nearly every day.  And the days she missed, she caught back up on.  Now THAT is impressive.  That takes a lot of dedication.

I tried to warn you!

I'm pretty bad at keeping a blog....still. Hehehe. Working on it I guess.

Things that have happened:
stopped P90X after both the roomie and I got sick, and then went on vacation for like, the whole month of July. We made it 6 weeks, and were looking and feeling pretty good, in my opinion :P

Summer is for fun stuffs though, I'd rather be out doing things than lifting weights. Although, it does make chillin' at the beach in a bikini more enjoyable if you are confident in how you look.

Summer's almost over! At least, for those people going back to school. I wish I was a student still, this "having a job year-round" thing gets monotonous. It is nice to have the year seperated into parts, and I miss it. Oh well, can't go back? ...or can you?

Day 05 - Legs and Back, Ab Ripper X

Today it finally felt like I could actually do the workout semi-well. Well, not the pull-ups part; we hadn't got our bands in yet. (They are here now though!)

BUt the ab ripper workout I actually did! ...with small breaks :P And we still dont quite get what they are doing with the obliques set, but thats ok.

Progress! It's a good thing :)

Wt: Who cares, I feel good :)
Physical Status: better than before we started for sure
Mental Status: Excited

Day 04 - Yoga X

Yoga was the perfect thing for today. I feel soooo much better than yesterday sore wise, and it will definitely let me recover a little bit so I can try to push harder tomorrow. Good job DVD planners!

Not so good a job Tiffany-Vanessa...we didn't realize it was an hour and a half, so we only did the first hour. Next time we'll be ready!

In other news, we have to watch the doggies closer when they are gated off in my room. They ate the BRAND NEW watch I just got in yesterday...sadface. It was a joint mischievous effort, I am sure, the rascals!

Wt: 124.5, morning in workout gear....the scale doesn't help at all does it?
Physical Status: much improved over yesterday, only sore around my quads
Mental Status: Good to go!
